19. “Wolves and coyotes are both members of the dog family,” explains Mike Jones. “Both are predators , which means they eat other smaller animals, and probably explains why you kids were all so scared. They howl to communicate with each other from different parts of the woods.”
20. “They howl a lot during mating season in February and March when they’re looking for a mate, whom they’ll keep for life. The coyote is smaller than the wolf, about half the size,” Mike explains.
